I found the directions for this recipe to be pretty spot on, and there were no big surprises. I love a good, straight forward bread. 
The bread turned out perfectly. It was soft and sweet. It was not soggy around the filling.  It did, however, keep popping off the top crust with the lightest touch. 

The only real problem was we  discovered we are not big fans of walnut filling. It reminded me of the Stollen I made last year, when I discovered my kids hated marzipan. Which was the whole filling. 
So in summary, great bread, personally do not prefer the taste.
